Another day, another trophy! The Hendon Mob Warm Up has resolved in rather dramatic fashion with the victory of Peter Zolnai, whom you may started the heads-up perilously shortstacked against his opponent Simon Wilson. I witnessed the initial double up and my colleague Jason Glatzer commented on the stacks being roughly even the next time he ed the table; this time when I went to check up on them, the whole thing was over but for our photographer Mairo collecting the racks of chips and the winning hand - the mighty 2s 2c - to use as props in the official winner's photo.
Zolnai gets €7,000 for his trouble, as well as a fabulous handmade trophy with his face on it that will be made by a Ukrainian artist tonight and presented to Zolnai tomorrow, plus a ticket to The Hendon Mob's next event in Bratislava this November, and last but definitely not least, another flag on his Hendon Mob page. GG WP sir!
